FAQ’s – Frequently Asked Questions For TurnkeyIPTV.com
What is IPTV?
Internet Protocol Television or IPTV describes a content delivery system where a digital television service is delivered to consumers using the Internet Protocol over an Internet connection, through a (STB) set-top-box, typically using WIFI. Think of Netflix or (VOD) Video on Demand.
What Should I NEVER Do?
Never ever set your Amazon hardware, (STB) set-top-box back to factory defaults under the Settings>My Fire TV>Reset to Factory Defaults. (Don’t Ever Do That!) There are options under Settings>My Fire TV that you will use. For example “Sleep” to put it to bed at night, or “Restart” to reboot your device if needed. Also under Settings>Applications>Manage Installed Applications>Choose the App you want to launch, for example (Mobdro), click on it. You will get 5 options. They are: 1. Launch application, 2. Force stop, 3. Uninstall, 4. Clear data, 5. Clear cache. Never ever choose “Uninstall” or “Clear data”. Doing any of these things will either wipe out all of your aftermarket Apps that we installed. (Factory Reset) Or wipe out individual Apps under “Manage Installed Applications”. With this in mind, just don’t do it! Please do not allow small children to accidentally wipe out your Apps by playing with the remote. If you accidentally do this, we can reprogram it for a fee. You’ll have to also cover the postage, not to mention the inconvenience of not having your device for several days.
Can I use multiple Set Tob Boxes - devices on one subscription?
It depends on what our partner-providers are currently offering. Our provider on our highest-end package allows 1-subscription to be used on up to 4 devices and up to 8 devices on a different payment tier. You would need multiple STB’s, set-top-boxes to accomplish this. Use our Contact Us page to inquire about multi-item pricing. We would need to program all devices to work off of the 1 subscription. Because our Amazon Firestick STB’s are small, portable and easily moved from TV to TV or room to room, some of our customers go this route instead of purchasing multiple devices.
Are the subscriptions recurring?
Subscriptions are not recurring. At the end of your 1 year term we will not automatically charge you. Simply, use our Contact Us page, let us know that you want to renew and we’ll send you a link to PayPal to renew your premium IPTV service. Your free apps will continue to work.
What form of payment does the website use?
We use PayPal as our Vendor. All major credit cards are accepted. We are USA based and accept the US Dollar.
Do I have to program the set-top-box myself?
The short answer is No. If you buy the set-top-box from us (TurnkeyIPTV.com) it comes programmed with the latest apps and is ready to go. All you have to do is connect it to your TV with the provided HDMI Cable, plug it in, enter your free Amazon account login information under settings (free Amazon account required), connect to your WIFI internet connection and start enjoying.
How many Channels are available on your IPTV premium service?
TurnkeyIPTV.com works with multiple providers. Please see our current offers to get more detailed information. The available channel list is constantly updated and new channels are always being added. Some channels may also drop off. We do not control this.
How fast of an Internet connection do I require for IPTV to work without interruption?
Ideally, you should have a minimum Internet Speed of 10mbs in order for the IPTV Service to work well. It will work on a connection as low as 3.5 mbs, but may buffer more frequently. If streaming 4K movies, a 45mbs connection or higher is advised. We only use top quality Amazon hardware for set-top-boxes to ensure maximum deliver-ability.
Do I require any other hardware devices for IPTV to work?
The only two things required are the Set Top Box (STB) and a good internet WIFI connection. The STB works as the receiver for your IPTV.
Are there any High Definition (HD) Channels or 4K Movies?
Yes, all 3 of our providers offer HD channels. Currently, only our high-end package offers 4K streaming. They provider recommends a 45mbs connection to stream 4K. More 4K programming is coming online all of the time as the technology moves in that direction. Depending on your Internet connection plan, 4K uses considerably more band-width. Many Internet providers, depending on your plan, now cap your transfer at 1,000 gigabytes per month. (That’s way more than most people use.) Where we are located and with our Cox Cable Internet provider, additional band-width is sold/charged in 50 gigabyte blocks if you exceed your allotted 1,000 monthly gigabytes of transfer/usage. (Again depending on your plan. Make sure to read your providers small print if you plan on streaming a ton of 4K content.)
After I purchase a subscription, what happens next?
After completing your purchase through PayPal you will be redirected to the page on our website that gives you all of the specifics. The short answer is; your STB, set-top-box, will ship within 24-48 hours via the US Postal Service, priority mail. Your package will arrive in 1-3 days according to their website. US shipping only unless previous arrangements are made first by using our Contact Us page.
Will you provide set-up or use instructions?
Yes. Our set-top-boxes are pre-programmed by us. All you really have to do is plug it in, enter your free Amazon account log-in credentials, and connect your WIFI. We will provide a basic set-up video done by us or we will embed one we like on our videos/tutorials page. Keep in mind that there is a learning curve to get through anytime you start using a new electronics device. Once you master Amazon’s remote and know how to navigate through the various apps, you’ll be all set.
Some of my channels don't always work, why, and what should I do?
We, as IPTV provider affiliates do not control any of the feeds on any of the IPTV providers servers. As an affiliate, we provide you access through a portal to receive service from the IPTV providers themselves. Keep in mind that every channel and every feed is more than likely streamed from multiple offshore servers worldwide before they get to you. Because of this and the networking involved, sometimes the connections are temporarily unstable due to weather, storms, or satellite outages. The IPTV provider knows about the channel outages as soon as they happen, and are working to resolve problems in a timely fashion. Please be patient and check in on the channel you want to watch as it will eventually be resolved. With the free apps included and a premium service, you will still have hundreds of channels to choose from until your channel comes back online. We do not support the free apps.
Sometimes my channels freeze, why is this happening?
There are many factors that can cause this. First, try switching the channel and then going back to the channel you were watching. You can also use your cleaning App to clear your set-top-box’s cache and the try the channel again. The source of the stream/feed could have frozen. The networking path the feed took through the Internet could have had problems. Your own Internet connection might have had a momentary hiccup, or even your own internal connection could have experienced a data transfer packet loss to a small degree depending on your router or Internet provider. Because of all of these factors, we simply cannot guarantee any channel or any feed based on how many factors that are involved that are 100% out of our control.
How do I check my Internet speed?
We recommend running a speed test from your computer or phone at SpeedTest.net
Why are my channels buffering?
Sometimes you maybe experiencing buffering due to low Internet speed or high internet traffic. You can try clearing your cache and restarting your set-top-box.
